In an attempt to stem the growing tide of anti-microsoft sentiment, CNet reports that Microsoft has appointed Linda Stone as "vice president of industry initiatives". According to Rich Gray, "She's basically being appointed as Microsoft's ambassador to Silicon Valley and the rest of the technology world..."
