iTunes Sells 1.5 Million Songs Last Week

Apple announced that music fans purchased and downloaded 1.5 million songs from Apple's iTunes Music Store over the past week, which is 5 times more than Napster's 300,000 downloads during their debut week.

Apple's initial sales numbers after iTunes for Windows' release showed 1 million songs sold in the initial 3.5 days after the introduction of iTunes for Windows. The 1.5 million last week represents an increase from the 600,000/week Apple reported seling to Mac-users alone prior to the Windows release.
