And I'll listen to what they have to say so I can get the best deal on my next subscription when the 6 months free runs out on the new car. :)

They are the worst group I ever dealt with when trying to cancel a subscription.

Me "My radio die."
CS "We'll send you a new one."
Me "I never listened to it anyhow."
CS "It's nice to have in case you want to listen to it."
Me "I'm not going to pay for something I don't use."
CS "We are sending you a new radio and 3 months of free service"
Me "I don't want it and I'm not going to use it. You might as well save it for someone else."
CS "Then call back and cancel in 3 months, it's on it's way."

Well they sent me a radio and gave me the moths free and I never used it and the worst part was I had to call and go through it all over again. While it's great service and they are willing to go the extra mile to keep customers happy there's a point in time where they need to get the point.

I have to say that trying to cancel XM is harder than canceling AOL ever was. In addition, it is over priced for what you get now, it used to be a lot more reasonable. i am just refering to the service it's self, it used to be around $7 per month when I first signed up with them. I got rid of them when they went up to $10 per month, now it's $12.99 and $3 extra if I want to listen on my iPhone? No way is that worth it, when there are various streaming sources that are free and work on the iPhone/iPad and multiple other places, even at the same time.

I cancelled my XM Radio long ago and pay for Slacker Radio. It's been great. $12.95 or $3.99? That's a tough one!

I have Sirius Xm and I'm astonished at how, despite its 200 channels, there is nothing to listen to most of the time. All of the music channels seem unduly repetitious after you've been driving around listening to it for a week, and the talk radio is mostly unlistenable. The only non-music channels I listen to are NPR and classic radio. There is almost nothing that I would want to "DVR" and certainly no stretch of five hour programming I would want to record and listen to again.

I find that I'm always listening to stuff I've loaded onto my iPhone (Car Talk and Wait Wait Don't Tell Me are available by podcast for free), and Pandora. I don't know if I'll renew my subscription when it comes up again in March.
