Apple 'Blown Away' by iPhone 5 Pre-Orders

An Apple spokesperson said the company was "blown away" by the response to the iPhone 5, according to a statement obtained by The Loop.

"Pre-orders for iPhone 5 have been incredible," said Apple spokeswoman, Natalie Kerris. "We’ve been completely blown away by the customer response."

The iPhone 5's initial shipment sold out within hours of going on sale early this morning, with shipping estimates slipping to 2-3 weeks by this afternoon. The iPhone 5 goes on sale next Friday.

Maybe Samsung can make a video of how you can sleep in on order day and still get release day shipping for their phones.

It would go well with their "Apple long lines" themed commercials.:D

Nothing like touting the popularity of other devices to promote your own.

Apple sold a boat load of these last night and anyone who thinks otherwise is just fooling themselves.

These sales figures will easily exceed that of the 4S and will probably be the largest electronic product release of all time.

I'll wait for the numbers like everyone else but common sense is your friend with this one.
