steve jobs blu rayUniversal Pictures has announced the Digital HD and Blu-ray release dates for the underperforming Steve Jobs film, set to launch digitally on February 2 and then in retail locations two weeks later on February 16 of next year.

The studio noted that some of the Blu-ray special features include:

-Inside Jobs: The Making of Steve Jobs
-Feature Commentary with Director Danny Boyle
-Feature Commentary with Writer Aaron Sorkin and Editor Elliot Graham

The home release of the film coincides with the 88th Annual Academy Awards ceremony, set to kick off Sunday, February 28.

Given Universal's original Oscar push for Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet in the lead roles, it makes sense for the studio to try and get the film in front of more people after pulling it from over 2,000 of its screening locations around the United States due to its poor box office performance.

I'm pissed off that people are still making Steve Jobs movies. It's annoying, he's dead, everyone's over the fact that he's dead, making movies about him won't make him less dead, jeez.

For me, it's Robin Hood, Superman, Batman, and Spiderman...

;)
For me it's those cheesy, CGI porno films from marvel. I mean seriously one Avenger's movie is enough, but no we have to see a few more. Then movies about some other loony toon marvel super hero. On screen have to listen to the cheesy cringe-worthy dialogue/jokes. Hollywood milks it!

At least I can appreciate this over a Steve Job's movie. I mean the guy has passed but people praise him as if he was the second coming. Good grief, he created a cellphone and it was good. But these days there are much better options and like I really want to see how he is in real life; I'd rather they make a movie about apple, inc. how much money they make, how they stash their cash to avoid tax, how they employ hundreds of thousands of works in asia, and how they contribute/fix global pollution and why the damn iPhone gets thinner yet battery life is just as pathetic, and most importantly who the hell said yes to that iHump case?!?
