Apple's first foldable iPhone, rumored for release next year, may turn out to be smaller than most people imagine, if a recent report is anything to go by. According to The Information, the outer display on the book-style device will measure just 5.3 inches – that's smaller than the 5.4-inch screen on the iPhone mini, a line Apple discontinued in 2022 due to poor sales. With the end of 2025 near, the time has come to look back at the devices and accessories that Apple discontinued throughout the year.
Most of the products that were discontinued this year were simply replaced by a new model with an updated chip. However, the iPhone SE line was entirely discontinued when the iPhone 16e launched, and the iPhone Plus line is being phased out.

Just nursing along my mid ‘11 iMac and ‘10 MacBook Pro. For sure will be getting an iMac when the new ones are released in a few months. Maybe a new MacBook as well. We’ll see. As of right now I just hate he keyboards too much on any Apple notebook.
I'm also ready to buy. My iMac 2011 failed and I'm limping along on a iMac 2009 and my work PC. No problem waiting until this summer, but won't wait for another year to pass. So I need to buy this summer. Also GF is using 2010 MacBook Pro and I'm looking to help her upgrade as well. The keyboard failure rate is very concerning. I'm okay with the feel of the computers, but mechanical failure is not acceptable. A laptop would be nice, but not if the keyboard is going to fail. So may need to go with iMac. I'm hoping though that Apple will address the keyboard issue.
Small screen, small disk, no ports, no DVD (which I use a lot), and crappy keyboard for $2000! Sign me up! I'll keep my 13", 2TB, SuperDrive, Mid-2012 until one of us dies, thanks. I even have a backup one in case it goes first.
You neglect all of the other improvements. P3 display, better CPU, faster RAM, faster SSDs, better GPU,TB3, USB 3.1 gen 2. I agree having a built-in SuperDrive is something I miss. I cannot play, burn or rip discs although I don’t really need to as long as I have a Blu-ray player hooked up to my receiver. External storage is also cheap and prices continue to fall. I agree that 128-256GB internal is just not enough. You really need 512-1TB. I myself went with 512GB on my 2016 15” because I would never get the extra money I would pay for the 1TB and 2TB SSDs when I sell the machine. $3k with tax was already steep. I use a combination of external USB 3.1, Thunderbolt 2 drives to supplement the internal drive and to store videos. I keep the internal drive relatively empty to do work on.
