Nintendo's newest mobile game, Dragalia Lost, is now available on both Android and iOS devices in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau.

Dragalia Lost is an original action RPG that was developed by Nintendo and Japanese mobile game developer Cygames. In the swipe-based game, players are tasked with conquering their enemies using powerful attacks and special skills.

Players will control several characters who are able to transform into dragons to unleash their power on enemies. In addition to battling monsters, players will also need to develop a holy citadel for dragon training.

Limited time multiplayer raid battles are available for up to three players online, and an internet connection is required to play.

Nintendo has successfully launched several iOS games, including Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and Super Mario Run.

Like Nintendo's most successful titles, Dragalia Lost is free to play and it is supported through in-app purchases.

Dragalia Lost can be downloaded from the App Store for free. [Direct Link]

Turn based combat? Seems like realtime combat after the 5 first minutes I played.

I don't think they like it. They tried with Mario Run to have a demo plus single FULL game purchase at a fair price. Way too many complaints from users. I prefer a single purchase, no-ad app, but the majority of phone gamers play games like Minion Rush.
This truly sucks. I think Super Mario Run was a fantastic game. Best $10 I ever spent on an iPhone game. On the other hand, I played Animal Crossing on the iphone and it is seriously such a micro transaction cash grab. Lots of people have it praise, but I question if they had played any other version. The iphone game was clearly meant to encourage purchasing consumables.

Meh. Another turn based combat game.

Interesting that the hardware requirements start at my iPhone 5S and iOS 9.
Nintendo is showing off to everyone how to use Apple Xcode tools correctly and create binaries that are backwards compatible for older iOS versions.

Too many app developers require iOS 11 for apps that could run just fine on older iOS but completely ignore the install base.
And it's not just games, State Farm Insurance app, for example, requires iOS 11 and broke compatibility with my iPhone 4S on iOS 9 and my other devices running iOS 10. They ignored my request to release binaries that support older devices and they told me I HAD to upgrade my iPhone 4S to iOS 11 or buy a new device just so I could use their app. I use their web site now in my devices and deleted their app.

I don’t like where Nintendo is heading... they’ve dipped their toes in Free to Play and I think they like it. If it stays on iOS and Android, so be it. But I don’t want my stellar first few months of Zelda of my switch to be soured by upcoming micro transactions and shovelware.

I struggle with games that are network only

On the underground I don’t have signal and when I do I’m either at home in my console or at work and can’t play.

A game like Mario didn’t need to be online only tbh

When it comes to games, I don't know why people with old iPhones expect games to run or be compatiable? Unlike game consoles and PCs, phones evolve every year so expect to be left behind. This is why I still have an iPad mini running iOS 10 running older games while my Pro runs all the new stuff.

On topic, I think this game is neat and expect no more from Nintendo. The water down version of most games are just suppose to give people a taste. They want people to buy a Switch or DS, makes sense from a marketing and share holder perspective.
