Laughable. If you really believe that you would not build your product on back of slave labours (often time political prisoners) underaged workers and third world country wages.
oh please... bring me a product you use that is not built in the same place as apple's stuff?
Talk is cheap man. If you're going to say stuff like that you'd better be beyond reproach in your personal choices.

While it’s true that nearly everyone is complicit with buying stuff from China, Cook’s hypocrisy is so deep it’s worth pointing it out.

He quite literally took orders from a blood soaked tyranny to take down an app that pro democracy protestors were using. It’s no different from cooperating with Nazi Germany in the 1930s. Cook is no friend of the oppressed.

It’s bleakly funny of course that on economic grounds Tim Cook would be about the strongest opponent one would ever find of King’s policies. King would denounce Cook for things like tax “efficient” approaches and corporate pay levels in the strongest terms possible.

The whole thing is just tedious. After Cook’s cooperation with China’s tyrannical crackdown on pro democracy protestors and also Cook being called out for virtue signalling on Twitter about the environment while taking private jets (and ludicrously having lawyers insert private jet flights into his contract of employment as a way to try to deflect criticism when people far more famous and important routinely fly commercial) I thought Cook might avoid politics but he just can’t help himself.
Why can’t MR posters stop their immorality signaling? All the good works Cook and Apple do just drive you guys crazy lol.

If Apple is to pull out of China, that’s a board level decision, not the CEO’s. The board also requires the private flights, for security and efficiency as well. If you have information to the contrary, I’d love to hear it.

Let’s face it: there are plenty of people in this country who despise everything Martin Luther King Jr. stood for, and accomplished. The constant immorality signaling by those that don’t agree with civil rights, every citizen’s right to vote and all being created equal is truly tiresome 🙄

Thanks Tim Apple, for honoring a great man!

I can't stand that guy's blatant hypocrisy. Preaching dignity, freedom and equality but then he profits from workers in China who only get two days off a month and work 12-hour days.
