Twitter Now Supports Viewing and Uploading 4K Images on iOS

Twitter today announced that iOS and Android users are now able to view and upload 4K images when using the mobile Twitter apps.

Twitter Feature
To view and uploaded images in 4K, Twitter users can opt for high-quality images under the "Data Usage" setting in the Twitter preferences.

Twitter has been testing higher resolution photo uploads with a limited number of Twitter users since March, but the feature has now rolled out for everyone. Twitter already supports high-resolution images on the web.

4K is not a high resolution image.

Typically the term "4K" refers to video resolution... not photo resolution.

But I guess they feel that normal people are so used to "4K" so why not.

I'm sure you don't have to upload photos at exactly 3840x2160 in order to use this new feature...

Though I prefer my photos uploaded in Cinema 4K at 4096x2160

:p

It’s been an option to load ‘4K’ images for ages (many months) via the share sheet.

Unfortunately, still the best way to know super local news. You just have to follow a select few. I follow several restaurants so I know the drink specials of the evening. :)
Actually I use it to complain about bad service from a company , do not use it for much else.
