Twitter Hashflag for September 14 Apple Event Goes Live

A new unique #AppleEvent "hashflag" has surfaced on Twitter for next week's "California Streaming" all-digital Apple event to increase visibility and maximize hype on the social media network.

The custom Twitter hashtag includes a multi-colored Apple logo, and it's live as of 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Apple has used the little icons next to hashtags on Twitter for all its previous events since late last year. The company's first use of a hashflag was for its September 2020 event, when it announced the iPad Air and Apple Watch.

Twitter allows brands to add the custom emojis next to hashtags as a marketing strategy. According to Agency Creative, each one can cost upwards of one million dollars, and they are commonly used for large events like the Super Bowl or holidays.

Apple's event is set to take place on Tuesday, September 14, where it is expected to announce the new iPhone 13 lineup alongside the Apple Watch Series 7.

I can't tell you how much I want an eggplant/maroon/deep purple color for the iPhone, it would look incredible IMO
This kind of maroon or am I off the mark? This was always my favorite color Apple device, I'd love to see a modern take on it. The closest was actually the red iPhone 7, they have made them much brighter and more orange since then.

After the whole CSAM debacle I am not even looking at what they launch. If they canceled it instead of delaying then maybe. Right now I can’t afford to replace all my Apple products (Iphone 12, iPad Pro, MacBook Pro 15”, Apple Watch) but I sure won’t be buying anymore.

When it’s time to replace them I will go with another brand. Sony Xperia is looking really good and they are actually made in actual Japan. Like the country that makes the highest quality electronics. With workers that are paid a decent wage and get to go home to see their families every night, and without any forced labor (slavery) concerns to worry about.
