iPad Mini 6 Unboxing Videos and Reviews Shared Ahead of Friday Launch

Apple's embargo on reviews of the sixth-generation iPad mini has now lifted ahead of the first devices arriving with customers on Friday, giving the first hands-on looks at the company's much-anticipated refresh of its smallest tablet. In addition to our upcoming detailed review roundup, we have gathered together a number of unboxing videos and reviews of the new device.



The key new features of the devices include a new design with squared-off edges, an all-screen design with no Home Button and a larger display, Touch ID in the top button, the A15 Bionic chip for up to 80 percent faster performance, Center Stage for video calls, various camera hardware upgrades, and new color options.

They all feel phoned in, but her unboxing might have been the most forced.

Too bad it's delayed till October. But alot of people will be loving this device :)

3) initial availability (Friday)

4) eta on new apple orders (currently november, was october, was september)

Gotcha— thanks! So, then my plan to get one if I get lucky in store is still valid. lol I still expect this will be “tricky”, and thus may prevent my ability to buy (which is alright).

My MBA was ruined by a leak in my ceiling. I really want the new 14” MBP, but am hating only having my iPhone as a computing device… thought the new iPad mini might help me limp along until MBP is available. I jumped on the pre-orders for the first Gen mini when it was announced. Love this form factor, and this upgrade is a banger!
