Apple Music Offering Free Three-Month Trial for a Limited Time

Apple is offering an extended three-month free Apple Music trial for new users over the summer, provided they haven't been a subscriber to the streaming service before.

‌Apple Music‌ typically offers a one-month free trial for new subscribers since it was shortened from three months in 2022, so this deal is worth grabbing if you are curious about the service.

Note that this offer is for new subscribers only. If you are not currently a subscriber to Apple Music, and you have never previously subscribed to Apple Music or Apple One, or had access to Apple Music through a Family plan, you are eligible for this offer.

Engadget spotted the offer, which is running until September 23. After the trial ends, the service will automatically renew for $11 per month, so it's a good idea to set a reminder in case you don't want to continue paying for access.

To redeem the offer, open the Apple Music app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac and sign in with your Apple ID. If the offer doesn't appear immediately after launching the app, go to the Home tab where it will appear, then tap Accept Now.

I listen to my library (8K songs all AAC encoded) -- do not stream. Since iTunes went away, have finally started looking for a replacement as AM keeps getting worse and worse re: UI and more. Demo'ed Swinsian and will buy it once the new version (3) releases. Shareholders are happy, but those with extensive personal music libraries... not so much.

Every time i open the site of my local apple distributor they popup spam me with 3 months of free apple music. This has been going on at least 2 years.

Have done several of your AM trials and I find the product still pretty lacking honestly
I'd never pay for it

I actually find value in YouTubeMusic though ... but I only get that from my YT Premium sub.
I wouldn't pay for YTM on its own

Excluding past users implies nothing has changed in Apple Music over the years to convince anyone to be a returning customer.

I'm in the same boat, refuse to stream/rent my music. I do still have the Music Match service I pay $25/yr for which is useful in just keeping things synced across all my devices easily. I have thousands of CDs I ripped with a huge music catalog I've had for decades now. I honestly wish Apple would bring back a great classic iPod, I recently bought a new/upgraded iPod classic on ebay with a 512GB ssd and new long lasting battery and it's glorious, and I can still sync it with the itunes/music app on my mac.

I have considered using new music apps for my large collection, however I have so much time invested into the playlists, smart lists, ratings and organizing within the existing apple music app I really don't want to have to recreate all that. Does Swinsian import everything from the current app, is it an easy transition?
