Apple Seeds watchOS 11.1 Release Candidate

Apple today seeded the release candidate version of an upcoming watchOS 11.1 update to developers and public beta testers for testing purposes. The new software comes approximately week after Apple released the fifth beta.

watchOS 11 Feature 2 1
watchOS 11.1 can be installed by going to the Apple Watch app and selecting the Software Update section under "General" in Settings.

So far, no major new features have been discovered in the watchOS 11.1 update, though Apple's release notes indicate that there is a fix for an issue that could cause problems writing breathing disturbance data to the Health app.

watchOS 11.1 is expected to see a release alongside iOS 18.1 next Monday.

Not trolling, genuinely curious - what are you trying to do in that scenario? Is it when you don't have your phone with you as well?
I can see the use case. If you don’t want your phone with you and you have a cellular enabled AW, it would be useful to be able to take calls using the car’s system or play music from it.

Hopefully solves this release the full charge notification not showing on the phone bug and nothing shown in the last charge graph. 🤞🤞

Is there a new feature in WatchOS to make the Ultra play a watch ticking sound?

Anyone installed and confirmed it's solid? I have a race in a couple hours and I'm a bit hesitant on installing it. Might just wait until after the race.
I have it installed on my Ultra 2. But given that it’s been out for a whopping hour and forty minutes as I type this, maybe wait.

I already had live activities disabled. I just read about disabling photo memories syncing to the watch, which is fine, as I've never looked at a single photo on my watch so that's now disabled. Disabled "listen for Siri" as well, since I never use Siri on my watch, phone or anywhere else.

rebooted both several times since they updated.

We'll see.I'm currently losing 15%/hour.
Have you checked background refresh settings?
Do you have any non-Apple app installed that might be an issue?

My battery life has went to absolute crap, as soon as I updated watchOS 11... Like six hours knocked off per day overnight. Disabled everything there is to disabled, including AOD, to no avail.

Any updates to battery life? I don't do betas, but would in this case.
This is not beta but the RC, probable release date is next Monday together with 18.1

My U2 battery life has been unchanged, have you rebooted both watch and phone? Turn live activities off on watch?
