The iPad Air really needs to just be the iPad, and the lower end iPad an iPad SE. Even the lower end iPad has most things most people need in a tablet.

I still remember the day I went along to pick up my original first gen iPad. Never had an experience since. Sure it was something new at the time but the fact there was just one and only iPad and despite it being expensive it was just a memorable purchase. I went to Apple and got my iPad. The best tablet on the market.

Now you go to Apple Store and it’s… I want to get an iPad but look, there is so many iPad. And just a little bit more and I get this, and a little more still and I get this. But don’t you want to use Apple Pencil Pro? Oh, yeah, just a little bit more and I guess just incase. Fantastic

Oh, and just be careful, not everything we sell will fully support all our offerings in software. That’s just the way it is now :/

The real deal is the iPad 9 for $199 ('https://www.amazon.com/2021-Apple-10-2-inch-iPad-Wi-Fi/dp/B09G9FPHY6')

Great for casual use or kids ... still has the home button and headphone jack, the latter of which is super useful for kids/headphones

I have one as an around the house "portable TV" and for emulator usages ... and it's phenomenal value

The iPad Air (5th Gen, M1), without a Magic Keyboard Folio, is 1.02 lbs, and the iPad Pro 11 Inch (M4) without its Magic Keyboard (which is a different model from the Folio) is 0.98 lb. You sure the weight difference you're seeing isn't the different weights of the two different Magic Keyboards?
I have friends with both and you can definitely notice the difference and it also definitely feels weird, but only if you can use them side by side. If you have one and replace it with the other you won’t notice anything anymore after you’ve started to use it.

Very good price for iPad Air with M2. Very capable iPad. Should be enough for most users unless they want a ProMotion display.

Unless you’re processing a lot of graphics, photo or video content that amount of storage is pretty good for most people. I can still get by on 64 GB as for my main use of content consumption and ebooks it’s more than enough and most content is streamed.

I think the only pity is iPads not having the option to take a micro add card. Almost everyone else provides this option and it’s great to have it there, just incase. And you can decide if it’s a cheap micro SD or a premium micro SD and its capacity.
I got the 256GB iPad mini because I told myself it was better to be safe than sorry 🤦‍♂️

My kids have the M1 iPad Air with Magic Keyboard. I have the M4 OLED with Magic Keyboard. Both the 11 inch. It’s amazing how much heaver the Air is vs the Pro.
