During the call, Apple CEO Tim Cook and new chief financial officer Kevan Parekh will provide insight into Apple's performance during the 2024 holiday quarter spanning from October to December. Apple's Q4 2024 earnings call was the last for former Apple CFO Luca Maestri, who has now transitioned to a new role as vice president of corporate services.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Apple released new iPad mini, Mac mini, MacBook Pro, and iMac models, so we will get our first look at how these devices performed, as well as some insight into Apple device sales during the holiday period.

Apple in Q1 2024 posted revenue of $119.6 billion and net quarterly profit of $33.9 billion. Apple said last quarter that revenue is expected to grow low to mid single digits year-over-year.

Apple's earnings call will take place at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time on the 30th, just after the company's Q1 2025 earnings release.

It really won't. Last i heard the Mac was actually losing share of the PC market. The bold parts are crazy hyperbole.

The Mini is a nice computer it's good value, relative to the rest of Apple's line up. The redesign is nice but the the previous Mini was similar in value terms.
The previous Mac Mini models and the current Mac Mini models are not similar in value terms. Well… I guess they would depend on your definition of similar. But a Mac Mini M2 with 16GB of memory would have cost $799 just a few months ago. Today a Mac Mini M4 with 16GB of memory costs $599. That’s a significant difference in value. (16GB vs 16GB) it’s now 25% less expensive than it was just two months ago. (Plus, now an M4 instead of an M2.)

Well… this sums it up pretty nice when referring to Apple’s product releases of 2024. I hope their quarterly results are as big as their product releases.

I didn't bother to watch because any analysis of Apple's products in 2024 that doesn't recognize how awesome the M4 chip is doesn't deserve watching. Doing this chip alone makes the year a stunning success.

There was also some very good hardware. The Mac mini is an industry changing product release. It lays the ground work for near domination of the laptop space once the M4 MBA is released. The Air Pods with noise cancellation are and the Air Pods Pro were improved. The Apple Watch was significantly improved dealing with basically the one bad feature of all prior Apple Watches which is they were too thick. iPad got the M4 chip and better as a laptop replacement with significantly improved keyboard extension. The entire lineup of computers got RAM bump that was much needed (yes should have been done years ago, but it was basically a $200 price cut that Apple did across its lineup despite the inflation challenges of 2022 and 2023). This was refinement of the highest level with deep tech improvement in the underlying silicon with the M4 chip that can't be touched by competitors. It was a very good year for Apple.

And this year we will see the next generation from Qualcomm. Their first attempt to dethrone Apple already beat the M3 in many ways. Wait till their next generation arrives. Apple already lost to Qualcomm in speed with their A 18 pro chips while the next snapdragon comes in February and we have to wait 9 months for the A19 pro chip.

It’s going to be an interesting year. I don’t see some headwinds but a storm coming.

We will see ?
I bought an M4 Mac and I love it, can you buy an Qualcomm laptop and tell me the same thing?

This might be a rough one. Even with tons of profit the market might not like the headwinds.
Headwinds... That's why Tim Cook is making a large [S]bribe[/S] donation ('https://www.macrumors.com/2025/01/03/tim-cook-trump-inauguration-donation/') ?

Should be a good quarter thanks to new M4 Macs (Mac mini, iMac, MacBook Pro). Now release those M4 MacBook Air's ASAP to bolster 2nd quarter results
