Smart home company Aqara's G410 video doorbell, which is Matter-compatible and supports Apple's HomeKit Secure Video, is now available to buy.

aqara camera hub 1
Announced in January, the Doorbell Camera Hub G410 introduces several notable upgrades, including a 2K resolution sensor for sharper video, a 175-degree field of view, and built-in mmWave presence detection to reduce false alerts.

The G410 also supports dual-band Wi-Fi, Thread, and HomeKit Secure Video, as well as options for secure storage via iCloud, local microSD, or NAS. It's ready for both battery-powered and wired setups.

The Aqara G410 video doorbell can be purchased on the Aqara website for $129.99 or through on-line merchants such as Amazon. We'll have a full review of the product soon.

Aqara today also announced the global availability of the Camera G100 ($34.99) and availability in the U.S of the Dimmer Switch H2 ($54.99) with Thread and Zigbee support.

Aqara Camera G100
The Camera G100 is a compact indoor/outdoor security camera offering 2K video, IP65 weather resistance, and a built-in spotlight for colour night vision.

It supports 24/7 monitoring and integrates with Apple Home (HomeKit Secure Video), Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, and RTSP-compatible platforms. Footage can be stored locally via microSD or NAS, while Aqara's cloud storage is end-to-end encrypted.

Lastly, the H2 is a smart dimmer switch for traditional dimmable lighting, designed to work with or without a neutral wire for broader installation compatibility. It supports both Thread and Zigbee, and its Matter integration enables seamless use with Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant, and Homey.

Dimmer Switch H2 US
Like Aqara's G410 video doorbell, the Camera G100 and H2 smart dimmer switch are available to buy directly from Aqara or other online merchants.

Two compelling reasons I went with Aqara's last model was storage option in the ringer, or option to use secure iCloud storage. I think most others had some sort of monthly service charge.
I have it hardwired, and no issue, just needed to be careful with the height placement. I can see people's face, but unfortunately lose visibility of my porch.
Given the homekit compatibility, its been nice having this work on all the apple devices in the house.
Will I buy this updated version with Matter support? No.

Camera G100 = USB C power only, no battery, no solar charging.
It's not really a convenient "outdoor" camera.
USBC gives you insane flexibility, including solar charging, using normal outlets, etc.

Hopefully they fixed the hardwire terminals - tiny tiny screws making its install difficult.. a thru wire insert method would be much easier for installing. All and all I have been happy with mine. Just wish my other items like eve were seamless..nothing is in this zoo of smart home standards.

Holy Apple Newton, Batman. That doorbell is HUGE!

Well, this will probably sound like a strange focus for shopping doorbells - but the operating temperature spec of the Aqara is actually way better than Google’s doorbell. My home and front door face the southwest, so I’ve managed to overcook a few doorbells in my time at the current address. Might have to give Aqara a try at some point.

Google Nest doorbell (both wired and battery versions) = -4 °F (-20 °C), or no higher than 104 °F (40 °C)
Aqara Doorbell (Main Unit): -18°C ~ +50°C (0°F ~ 122°F)

If that doorbell won't overheat in the sun, I'll be mighty tempted. My current one overheats constantly. Direct afternoon sun will do that, I guess.

Any third party sample videos? I use Eufy right now and it's fine, but I'm always willing to upgrade if something better comes along.
