AT&T Website References Next-Generation iPad Pro With M5 Chip

AT&T's website references an unreleased iPad Pro model with an M5 chip, but it is unclear if it is an accidental leak, or simply a premature SEO play.

Here is how the HTML title for the iPad page on AT&T's website appears in Google search results:

The text might be changed quickly, now that it has received attention.

There are no product listings for an iPad Pro with an M5 chip on AT&T's online store, so this is ultimately not a substantial discovery. However, in line with rumors, it could signal that Apple is set to announce the next iPad Pro models soon.

Apple is expected to update the iPad Pro with an M5 chip as early as this month, and the entire device already leaked in two early unboxing videos out of Russia. It was also rumored that the device would be equipped with two front cameras, but there was no visible evidence of this change in the unboxing videos, so we shall see.

Last year, the iPad Pro was updated with an OLED display and a thinner design, but no major design changes are expected for the next models.

Awesome. I sold my M4 when I realized I made a mistake with the standard models with only 8gb of memory. I couldn't open or save larger files which made it unusable for me. Opting for the terabyte storage option for the additional memory this time around. 22GB will be fine, hopefully it's more.
Yeah, Apple is really stingy with memory and storage space for the price.

What does the iPad Pro need an m5 for exactly, the m1 is still over kill. No one is using any app that needs an m5 for an ipad
Um, that’s not true. Final Cut Pro really benefits from the M4, as does AI inference especially on the models with 16GB RAM. And with the addition of background processing in iPadOS 26, more truly Pro apps have been announced for it as well.

There were rumors in teardowns that all the iPad Pro models really had 12GB, but locked down 4.

Lesson learned.
If anyone is trying to save money and thinking of getting an 8 gb M4 iPad Pro after this one is released, I say just get a basic iPad or iPad Air. With only 8GB RAM, the M4 and M5 do not add anything to iPad experience, they are just a vastly more expensive base iPads.

Breathtaking stuff, isn't it?

Hopefully they also ever so slightly changed a magnet location, port or speaker hole, thus necessitating all new accessories.
