In select U.S. states, residents can add their driver's license or state ID to the Wallet app on the iPhone and Apple Watch, providing a convenient and contactless way to display proof of identity or age at select airports and businesses, and in select apps.
Starting today, the feature is available to residents of West Virginia. To set it up, open the Wallet app and tap on the plus sign in the top-right corner. Next, select Driver's License and ID Cards and follow the on-screen steps.
Apple says the feature requires an iPhone 8 or later running iOS 16.5 or later, or an Apple Watch Series 4 or later running watchOS 9.5 or later.

For those having a hard time imagining how this works and to quiet the paranoia in this thread, here you go:
It doesn't unlock your phone, you DO NOT hand your phone to anybody, nobody even needs to look at your phone because you're not showing them a picture of your driver's license, you're authorizing access to specific information from your State's database.
You tap the terminal, it tells you what it's requesting, and then you agree to send just that information with a Face ID confirmation, just like Apple Pay. Your phone remains locked and in your possession.
Riighhhhhhttttt, always under the guise of "convenient and quick". These "features" are just another step in getting people closer to accepting the satanic mark of the beast. People need some serious waking up to do. Remember cash will always be king, and physic will always be better than anything "DIGITAL" aka artificial and fake and doesn't exist.
