I too have seen a ton of people swapping to Garmin and I myself have been thinking of possibly making that swap as well since I am still using an Apple Watch Series 3 and have yet to find any substantial reason to upgrade to one of the newer models. Sure there are lots of added features but none of those are killer features that would really entice me to get that new model. Garmin with the battery life alone is a compelling reason to upgrade to it as well as my understanding that many of the metrics (at least on some models) are a good bit more accurate. I haven't looked deeply into that claim but if that's the case and/or they track additional relevant metrics accurately then yeah, Apple needs to up their game.
